About STAYGO
STAYGO plans Japan trips one at a time. We start from how you actually travel: how early you like to be out, how much you want in a day, what you want to eat, and what you would rather skip.
That becomes a route, a set of rooms, and a list of tables and appointments, most of them held long before you arrive. A few of them are not bookable online at all.
It begins with a conversation, usually a long one. We would rather tell you early what is not worth doing than hand you a full calendar.

Reservations, introductions, and the fallback for the day it rains, all settled before you get here. When it works, none of it is visible to you.
Your hotels, dining, and transport are paid directly by you. Your Amex points, hotel status, and miles work exactly as they should.
And if a day is better left empty, we will tell you that too.
Most travel services mark up hotels, restaurants, and transport, sometimes by 20 to 40 percent, without telling you. You pay a total, and you never see the breakdown.
STAYGO does it the other way round. You pay each hotel, restaurant and driver directly, at their own rate. Our fee is one planning fee on top, and you see both numbers.
You book your hotel directly, at the same rate you would pay yourself, often with upgrades we arrange through our relationships.
We do not earn a cut from the counters, ryokans, or experiences we introduce you to. Our recommendation is never influenced by what pays us more.
Essential from $1,500. Signature from $3,500. Bespoke on request. You see the number before you commit. There are no surprises at checkout.
We do not bill by the hour. The fee is the same whether your plan takes us ten hours or forty.
Eight days or fourteen, the research is the same, the calls are the same, and the same people have to say yes.
One rate per plan, quoted before we start.

Tell us the dates, who is coming, and how you like to travel. The form takes a few minutes.
We draft a route and a day by day plan, with the hotels and the tables we think are right for it.
You read it and tell us what to change. We keep adjusting until it reads like your trip.
You get the finished plan, with every address, time and document in one place.
The work does not scale with the length of the trip. A ten day itinerary and a fourteen day one take roughly the same number of calls, and the same people have to say yes.
So the fee is fixed per plan, and you know it before we begin.
Our fee covers the design of your itinerary, reservations made on your behalf, and our support during your trip.
Hotels, meals, transport, and experiences are paid directly by you. Your Amex points, hotel status, and miles work exactly as they should.
We accept payment via secure online transfer or credit card. A 25% deposit secures your spot; the remaining 75% is due 60 days before your trip. All payments are processed securely via Stripe.
Travelers who know what they want, but value their time, points, and privacy too much to plan it themselves.
Most of our clients are professionals, executives, and creators visiting Japan for the first time, the third, or the tenth.
No. Our clients want to move through Japan on their own, not follow a raised flag.
When a private guide, driver or specialist would genuinely add to your day, we arrange one. Otherwise the day is yours.
Often, yes. Counters that do not take outside reservations, and ryokan that quietly turn most enquiries away, are the reason most people come to us. We will tell you before you commit whether a particular place is realistic for your dates.
Three to six months out is ideal. Tokyo's best tables and Kyoto's finest ryokans are often booked months ahead, especially in cherry blossom and autumn foliage seasons.
Last-minute requests are considered when possible.
Signature and Bespoke clients have direct access to us via WhatsApp throughout their stay.
A restaurant change. A late night recommendation. Translation on the phone. A flat tire on a road outside Hakone. Send a message and someone in Tokyo picks it up.
The 25% deposit is non-refundable, as it covers the initial planning work. The remaining 75% is due 60 days before your trip. Once paid, the full fee is non-refundable. Cancel before the final payment and only the deposit is forfeited. By the time of final payment, STAYGO will have secured confirmed reservations with Japanese hotels, restaurants, and cultural venues, many of which enforce strict non-cancellation policies.

Tokyo, Japan. STAYGO is designed and operated entirely from Japan, by someone who lives, eats, and travels here.
The average traveler spends 40–60 hours researching a Japan trip, and still misses the best of it. Our planning fee buys back that time, and opens access to restaurants, ryokans, and experiences that simply aren't bookable without the right introductions.
One counter you could not have reached, or a morning somewhere that is normally closed, tends to be what people remember. That is what the fee buys.
All payments are processed securely via Stripe, one of the world's most trusted payment platforms, used by millions of businesses globally. We never store your card details.
You'll receive a secure payment link directly. The transaction is encrypted end-to-end.
You can, and for building a rough framework, it's genuinely useful. The limit appears the moment you need something done rather than suggested. AI cannot call a ryokan that doesn't take online reservations. It cannot know which counter is actually worth the difficulty this year, or how to reroute your afternoon when a typhoon grounds your Hakone plans at noon.
The difference is execution: reservations made on your behalf, calls placed in Japanese, and a person in Tokyo who knows your itinerary while you are here.
Dates, rough ideas, whatever you have so far. We reply within 24 hours.
